Track.4:
Lightning Creek
Lyrics by Andrew Hogarth.
Twentieth
century dawned the wild west was gone. Sheriff Miller roamed the
land enforcing the law. The red man came to enjoy the new dawn.
Gathering plants for the sick at home. Hunting rights started
the bloody fight. The lawmen opened fire causing a living hell.
Dead and dying covered the dusty ground. Many good men were no
more. * Steps and memory was all they had years after that fateful
day.
The elders returned to re-claim the souls of their fallen men.
Coyote howl tonight out loud. Years after that fateful day. Call
to remind us of those truths that lay on the winds. Over the barren
plain the sheep herder Cook came. Searching for trophies from
that tragic day. Far from their homes the dead men lay. Innocent
victims lives swept away. * Steps and memory was all they had
years after that fateful day. The elders returned to re-claim
the souls of their fallen men. Coyote howl tonight out loud. Years
after that fateful day. Call to remind us of those truths that
lay on the winds.
